“Hikihaku” is used for Nishijin weaving in Kyoto. This time, we used it for interior lighting to give it a warm feeling. By using delicate washi paper, a healing feeling is provided in various situations regardless of the culture.
When Mr.Kitabayashi of COS Kyoto visited Tamuraya, who is involved in the Nishijin weaving, he saw the Hikihaku and wondered if the delicate material could be used for something else than a kimono. After deliberation, Mr. Miura Shomei, who creates Japanese paper lightning, was asked if it could be used for interior lightning and it was completed.
We have made the light bulbs globally compatible so that they can be used anywhere in the world.
